What is Class Dojo?
Class Dojo is an online tool that I use to track student's behaviors throughout the week. On Friday of each week, students receive their behavior chart that shows all of their positive and negative behaviors.
Each time a student is rewarded for positive behavior, he or she earns a point. There are different prizes awarded for individual students reaching certain point values (5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30).
Here's what the class view looks like:
Of course, this is just a sample class that I created, but for my real students, it pretty much looks the same.
I leave this on the screen, and when students earn points, they can see it add to their points in the green bubble by their name. If they lose a point for misbehaving, it takes one point away from their green bubble. (All points added or taken away show up on the behavior chart.)
Like I mentioned before, the students can see how many points they have each day that this is on screen in class.
**Please note: I will not be using ClassDojo as a form of communication with families, so if you'd like to speak with me, please send me a note or contact me via email.**
